Note: Fallen Heroes Scholarships are funded exclusively with funds raised through the Fallen Heroes Scholarship Program and will not impact the number of scholarships Safe Port Initiative awards through the Scholarships for Survivors Program.
The Fallen Heroes Scholarship Program is a donor-driven initiative that covers the full cost of an associate's degree at a public two-year college.
Fallen Heroes Scholarships are available on a first-come, first served basis to the children of police officers who are killed by acts of terror or systematic persecution on American soil. After a student is accepted to a program of study at any regionally accredited public two-year college in the US, funds for tuition and fees are disbursed directly to the college at which the student matriculates, and funds for books are paid directly to book vendors.
Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a grade point average of at least a C and are expected to participate in volunteer activities at least 8 hours per month. Fallen Heroes Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, fees and books for a traditional 60-credit Associate's degree. Scholarships are funded entirely through the generosity of our donors. Equipping grieving children to reach for the stars
Since 2012, SPI has helped those who are persecuted because of gender, ethnicity, race or simply the communities they call home. Recently, however, a new kind of persecution has arisen -- one based on the uniforms people wear for their job, even when they do that job honorably. The Fallen Heroes Scholarship was created for the innocent children who are left fatherless or motherless as a result of "blue persecution" or domestic terror. Please donate today, and help a grieving child reach for the stars.
